Massimiliano Marsalli (Max) was born in Lucca, Italy.

He is the President of the Diving Center and the Captain of  'Tigrotto' boat, he works as  a guide and diving instructor.

When he was nine he began to go skindiving as a self-taught diver and he reached 30 m. deepness in constant trim. Years after he began SCUBA diving and he got PADI and SSI patent.

In 1992 he founded a diving center and organised Red Sea holidays. In 1993 he was between the first ones in a fotosub competition.

In 1994 he was manager in a  diving center and in december he went to Carribean sea where he stayed fo 12 years, working in various diving centers as  an instructor and underwater cameraman.

In 2002 he came back to Italy in order to  take part in third degree FIPSAS-CMAS and UNDERWATER IPERBARICO TECHNICAL OPERATOR courses. Then he managed the acropodi positioning during the construction of the big seaport in Santo Domingo.

In 2006 he founded MAX SHARK diving center in Giglio Island and now he is engaged in underwater works and sportfishing. He is the only one as an officially certified “Under water iperbarico tecnical operator” at Guardia Costiera in Giglio Island. In 2007 he set up the rescue squad 'Soccorso A Mare'.

In 2010 he has been awarded a honor medal by Ministry of the Interior for the following reason: 'despite of the very bad weather and sea conditions, with great and big heart enthusiasm, he reached the place where a rescue helicopter was fallen down in the sea of Giglio Island and he succeeded to save the two-person crew’s lives'. In 2009 he had 188 dives, 11475 in all.

 


 

Elena Giampaolino

Elena Giampaolino (Leoncina), was born in Rome. She is Captain of  'Gattone' boat and works as a uide and diving instructor.

Since was very young she loves the sea and when was four she began to swim. She was liking to explore sea bottoms, to compete in skindiving with her daddy and to stay in the sea water for all the summer.

After many years she managed to persuade her parents to let her attend a scuba course.

In 2000, when was sixteen, she got the Open Water Diver PADI. From this moment she decided to never quit diving.

In 2008 she got Divemaster PADI and, in order to satisfy her passion, she worked as a scuba diver and cooperated with 2 diving centers for two years.

In 2009 she got to be 'Scuba Instructor' and the diving passion increased more and more.

She loves very much to transmit to other people her scuba diving passion and she puts all her efforts in teaching. Her pupils learn not only diving technique, but they are infected with her enthusiasm .

In April 2010 she met Massimiliano Marsalli and began to collaborate with Max Shark diving center. She took part in Legambiente sea bottom cleaning. Until 2010 she has had about 500 dives.

Elena Giampaolino obtained a Liceo Classico diploma and in 2008 she took a degree in “Psicologia dell’infanzia, dell’adolescenza e della famiglia”. Since 2010 she is “Mediatrice Familiare” and chartered to AIMS book.



 

Yaris al Giglio - sentiero del FaraglioneYojalis A. Terrero Cuesta (Yaris), was born in Enriquillo, Dominican Republic.

She is always at Max Shark diving center and for her great dominican hospitality you will feel at home.

She got Economic and Marketing degree and started to work at Max Shark in 2007.
